CULTURE

Culture is when a group of people regularly performs a set of beliefs and practices, and form an identity from it. The workplace is a culture, because it is where people connect through common beliefs and practices and share a common identity in ways they work together and relate to each other. Christians are said to be citizens of God’s kingdom, with a new set of beliefs and practices. They are called to be ambassadors sent into their earthly cultures, like the workplace, to represent their Lord and bring His influence into them.

So, would you say that the beliefs and practices of God’s kingdom are influencing you, and having an influence on your work culture? Or are the beliefs and practices that dominate your work environment influencing you?

Think about it – “We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal (to people) through us…”
(2 Corinthians 5:20).

CHARACTER

God’s strategy is still the same… He is calling for light to shine out of darkness. Christ describes us as the light of the world, and not the sound of the earth. Yes, we should speak the gospel, but according to our Lord the character of a Christian should be like light…
